Hey there, and welcome to the Cherry Bomb Tour! I'm pretty sure I recognise your face from around here...care to tell me your name?
you don't know it? wow. surprising. maybe you should learn it and then come back for the interview, yeah? nahh i'm just kidding! xD i'm kashdyn devon lance. a lot of people simply call me kash or kashkash. that's pretty much it though! i'm not really sure how my rents came up with it? i think it's mainly because they have boring common names and wanted me to have something cool, ya know? [:
Sweet name, dude! Anyway, how old are you again? And when's your birthday, if you don't mind saying.
well thanks! and i am nineteen! my birthday is january 1st. new years baby [; but yeah it was a huge party! sorry you missed it!
Wow, seriously? I would never have guessed! So, what are you on this tour? You seem like a bigshot type person to me.
mmhmm not a lot of people believe me but it's true! but i am the bass for the band high 5. not really that much of a bigshot, but i do love it!
Awesome, sounds like fun, am I right? So, tell me more about yourself! How about telling me some stuff you like, eh?
oh it's a blast! like i said, i love it! well i like to joke around, obviously from the beginning, sorry about that by the way! i just think it's hilarious to mess with people who don't really know me! i mean, people kind of expect me to be a certain way because of how i look. or so i've been told anyway. so it's funny pretending to be that way once in a while! i like video games. for real. i am a huge nerd in that aspect. i like partying and getting crazy. most of my money goes to video games and alcohol so we see where my priorities lie, yeah? xD i just like to have a good time in general and it doesn't matter if it's playing video games, messing around, hanging out or going out! what's fun is fun and i'm there! obviously i love music. it's a huge part of my life and always has been. i can play piano too but not nearly as well as bass. i love being in the band and on the tour and hanging out with my best friends all the time! it's great!
I totally agree with you, those are all wonderful! Dislikes?
dislikes, hmm. well, i hate that people judge me by my appearance. i mean sure, it is fun to mess with people, like i said. but really, i'm not that tough, hardcore scene douche or anything. I'm a sweet guy who likes to have fun so i'd rather people get to know me before they judge! i hate being dared or making bets because i can't turn them down! xD i just can't say no to a dare or bet or game! no matter what it is really! i hate losing when it comes to any of those too! especially video games! i pride myself in being king so if you beat me i take it pretty hard! ha. i hate that i have a habit of getting jealous over a few different things. i don't like douche bags or when people are rude to other people. i hate the sound of ice scraping off anything.
Ew, I know. So, what do you like to do in your spare time? Anything interesting?
it's the worst right! and well, in my spare time i like to hang out, play some video games. like i said most of my money goes towards gaming, geek i know [;, so i have it all. i go out and party a lot and get crazy! it's always fun to let loose, you know? like i said, i play piano but not very well, so i practice it here and there. i mean, it's not like i plan on playing it for the band or whatever, i would just like to be able to play decently. i hang out with my friends a lot. being on the tour provides a lot of time for that and it's awesome on every level!
Oh man, you sound like a real party animal my friend. So, I feel like I'm really getting to know you now. Tell me about yourself. What are you like?
oh i am actually! i love to go out and get crazy! i've been known to be loud when i'm drinking, but hey it's all in fun! i'm never that drunk guy that's trying to get all over girls either. let's see. hmm i've been known to be really outgoing. i will go up to anyone and talk to them especially if they are sitting alone or just look like they are having a bad day or something like that. i pretend that i'm tough sometimes just because it's hilarious but anyone who knows me knows i'm a big sweetheart. i treat girls how they should be treated and all that jazz. i'm a lover, not a fighter. i've never physically hurt someone and i don't think i could ever do that unless it was a dire emergency or something? i'm a big video game nerd, i could sit around and play them for hours, even days! i'll just grab some snacks and something to drink and be in front of the tv for ever! i know its not healthy but hey, it happens! i tend to get really jealous sometimes too. like over weird stuff and normal stuff. like, i get jealous if people are better than me at bass or piano or video games but i also get jealous if a girl i like is with someone else or flirting with someone else. i guess that's just natural though and i don't really do much about it, like get angry or anything so that's good right? [:
Ooh, you sound pretty swell. I guess a guy/girl like you would have plenty of luck in the love department. Right?
heh i guess so? i mean, i'm only nineteen so i haven't really had time to have too much seriousness with relationships and everything. i had a girlfriend for about two years when i was fifteen. she was my first and all that cute stuff. she ended up having to move away for something another and the long distance kinda broke us up. that's right about the time i joined the band though and well, the band is my new relationship. ha. i love it really! i mean, i've had a few little flings and things that haven't really lasted long, but nothing much other than that.
Interesting....so, why not tell me more? Not just about that, but about everything. Tell me about your past.
like i said, i was born january 1st so i am a new years baby [: i always grew up to the world celebrating my birthday! it's pretty sweet except they don't all get me presents [; anyway. my real mom was like 16 when she got pregnant and she didn't want to raise me wrong or in a poor household and struggling and stuff like that. so she put me up for adoption. i've always known i was adopted as it was and still is really open. i see my mom on holidays and i always get her something on mother's day. she's a really nice girl [:. my adoptive parents are kick ass though! i actually have two mothers. mmhmm, that's right. i don't see anything wrong or whatever because it's what i've always known. it upsets me when people give them shit and me shit for it. like, lay off. it's not your life, leave it alone. anyways. my one mom, sasha, is a singer and my other mom, katie, plays piano and guitar. so i guess i picked up music from them. katie teaches me piano here and there. i wish i was better at it but i love my bass. i picked it up when i was about 8 or 9 and i have been playing ever since!
That's pretty deep right there. Finally, tell me a secret about yourself. Your dirtiest one...my lips are sealed!
hmm well, it's really not a secret but, i can't turn down a game or a dare or a bet. it's like this thing that wont let me say no! i don't get it but i hate it because it gets me into trouble a lot!
Ooh, well, I won't tell anyone babydoll. Have a nice day now, this interview was fun!
hah well thanks [: and it really was! thanks for listening to me talk! ha
oh hai thar. my name's shmey and i've been in action for nineteen years! my other wonderful creations on cherry bomb tour are ava, kashdyn, kevin, and carter. still don't believe i'm a pro at this? well, take a look at this![/blockquote][/blockquote]

[/blockquote][/blockquote]Saturday. His day off. Thank the lord. Gavin hated being in this little town and hated working for his uncle. Sure, the money was good and he didn't have to pay rent or anything because he was living with his aunt and uncle for the time being, but he hated working. He liked it better when his parents just gave him the money he wanted. But that ended with his breaking and entering charge that was complete bullshit. He had been nineteen at the time. Who else was nineteen and had a fucking curfew? No one! So when they had told him midnight, he thought they had meant around midnight or one if he was even coming home at all. Nope. Not what they meant by any means. So when he came home stumbling and drunk off his ass at two thirty that morning and found the door locked, he had crawled through a window. Well, apparently he had broken the screen to do so, but he didn't remember that, and his parents called the police on him. His own parents! So what did he end up with? A breaking and entering charge and not to mention an underage drinking charge. Just lovely. Those were never coming off his record. Not to mention his parents, although they paid the fines, made him work like crazy to pay them back for paying the fines for him. It was all ridiculous to say the least and ever since then he had to work for his own money. Not to mention he had been sent from his beloved New York City to the awful little town of Northampton. He hated how quiet it was and how there wasn't the constant buzz of traffic and people out on the streets. Sure this town had parties, but not like the ones he went to in the city. Not to mention it was a lot harder to find people to go out on his late night vandalism via graffiti escapades. Garret went on a couple with him here, which was good. Gav had met Garret, and a whole lot of others through his cousin Noah.
Gavin had been worried about his cousin. At family gatherings, they both had to dress up and be all proper in front of the family as to not embarrass anyone. Gavin faked every second of it and he had no idea that Noah did as well. Well, he found out after a dinner party his aunt had held. His aunt had excused Noah and Gavin to do as they pleased for the rest of the night and as soon as they got out of earshot from everyone, Noah had taken off his nice dressy clothes and had party ones on underneath, asking Gavin if he were ready to go have some real fun or not. Gav had blinked a few times before running to his room to change and off they went. He was thankful that Noah was not all proper as he had seemed at family events. Not to mention he was introduced to a lot of cool people through his cousin. Some of them he was already pretty close with, being here almost only a month. He was actually more than likely seeing a lot of those people today, but not until later on in the evening as that's when the party, if there was one, would be. So, he had the whole day until then to himself. Now he simply had to find something to do! His eyes drifted to his guitars. He had two of them, an acoustic and an electric. He had been playing his acoustic last night after he had gotten off work for a good three hours so he really didn't feel like playing guitar just yet today. No, he figured he would paint or draw today instead. Not many people would peg him as an artsy guy outside of the graffiti but he loved it. Whenever he was bored, or in a bad mood or really just any time he had the time, he would paint or draw something. It was one of the few hobbies he had that his parents supported. So they had given him a fresh set of supplies as a going away present, telling him to use those instead of spray paint and not to mark up the cute little town with his nonsense tagging. He had thanked them but told them he couldn't promise them anything. His father rolled his eyes and his mother had looked very disappointed. Hey, it wasn't his fault he liked the thrill of getting caught while painting something magnificent on one of the boring brick walls.
Stretching as he stood from his computer chair in his room, he pulled out one of his last larger blank canvases and set it up, laying the paint speckled sheet underneath it all like he always did no matter where he was. He didn't want to ruin anyone's nice carpeting. Actually, he didn't care per say if the carpet was ruined, it was more that if he did ruin it, they might take away his supplies and that would not go over well. Gavin thought for a moment, placing his hand that held his brush on his chin and his other arm across his chest as he looked at the blank canvas. Smiling he stepped forward and dipped his brush in some paint and went at it. He did a lot of abstract work when it came to painting. Drawing was another story. He was precise and on point, everything had to be perfect and in line when it came to drawing. But painting, his painting was all over the place. It always turned out alright, anyway. He was his toughest critic and was never fully satisfied with anything he did even though he had actually sold a few of his creations before to galleries in the city. Even then he didn't think they were good enough to be in the galleries and the money had gone to more supplies and not his drinking and partying habit. He switched colors a few times, adding red here and blue there. He focused on art and music more than anything else and if you met him while he was drawing, painting or playing his guitar, you would not recognize him from if you met him while he was out causing trouble or at a party. He stepped back and looked it over and of course he found it to be okay. He put his brush down and pulled out his phone, snapping a picture of it and saving it right as he got a text.
Gavin's eyes focused now on the screen of his cell phone as he read the text from Amelia. 'hey, going for coffee in the marketplace. Meet me there?'. He scratched his neck slightly as he looked from his phone, to the mess of art supplies in front of him before texting back. 'okay. let me clean up my art shit. be there in twenty.' He set his phone down and got to cleaning up. He washed out his brushes and set the wet canvas on the sheet on the floor in front of the window where the sun could hit it and dry it. He picked up everything else and packed it neatly into the trunk where he kept all his art supplies and a few different things for his guitars like picks and extra strings. He threw a hat on his head and left the house, telling his aunt he was going for coffee with Amelia. Of course, she had no problem with that and even offered him a ride to the marketplace. He was about to say no thank you, but he took it instead as he didn't want to drive and have a hard time finding a place to park in the limited spaces there were. It was a bit odd telling adults all the time what he was doing seeing as he was twenty now, but that was what happened when he was a 'trouble maker' and 'couldn't be trusted very much'. Whatever, it was all bullshit to him. But, of course his aunt happily gave him the ride in this situation. Both her and his uncle, his parents and Amelia's parents were still trying to get the two together. They figured having a girlfriend would keep him out of trouble and that if he and Amelia got together, the money would stay in the upper class. Once again, it was bullshit. However, he did make a good friend out of it all.
Amelia was like a sister to him. They had pretended to date for about a week and a half just to get their parents off their backs but it hadn't done so. His were still asking about it here and there when they called and still trying to push him to ask her out on a date. He would just shake his head and ignore them. His aunt dropped him off at the end of the street where he knew the coffee place was and asked if he would need a ride back. He told her no, that he would get the bus or walk as it really wasn't that bad of a walk. He closed the door and she drove off as he walked down the street to the small coffee place. He knew he was a bit late, but not by much and he hoped he hadn't really kept Amelia waiting. Pulling open the door, he spotted Amelia almost instantly as there wasn't really too many people there. He walked up to where she stood at the counter and pulled her into a hug as he said hello. "Hey Mamma Mia." He said, calling her his normal nickname for her. "Sorry I'm a little late." He turned to the old lady at the counter who ran the small coffee shop and ordered a simple black coffee before handing her the money for it. In a few seconds he was handed his coffee and he turned back to Amelia and raised an eyebrow at her, "Wanna sit down somewhere?" He asked and before she could answer he was already moving to a table. He sat and waited for her before speaking again, "So Amelia, how's the single life treating you?" He said with a wink and a small laugh, playing at the fact that they had pretended to date a bit back. He could never actually date Amelia. She was like his sister. He was closer to her than some of his best friends back home and if anyone messed with her, well, he would turn into the angry Gavin that rarely anyone saw. He took a sip of his coffee and grimaced slightly as it burnt his mouth a bit. He sat the cup back down and looked to Amelia as he smiled slightly.
